Re: 88 750 tail light HELP!!!

Open your fuse panel box in the engine bay, there is a Mustard Colour fuse block *bigger then a bottle cap, square and not a flat fuse, rather large in size* now you have to pop that out.

There is 2 metal tabs on the sides towards the wheels, you have to get a small screwdriver and push them away or seperate until the thing pops out, took me about 10 minutes in the dark with a cell phone and a screwdriver, try it in the day, so much easier.

Once you have it out, pull the mustard colour shell off of it *3 tabs on the bottom holding it, don't be afraid to slightly push in a screwdriver to keep them apart, all the vitals are not attached to the casing.

Now on the back of the little circuit board there is a bunch of solders. If you have a magnifing glass, take a look at each one, there will be cracks around the caps of the solder forming an incomplete circuit. They are very very small, barely seen without a magnifing glass, if you don't have one do this anyways.

Take your soldering iron, or go buy one *couple bucks from The Source *radioshack**. HEat it up, grab some soldering *smaller = easier to work with. And resolder all the cracker or even all of the soldering caps. You can also just heat up previous and fix or heat up previous, dospose of with solder vacuum and replace.

Whatever you do, just make sure you know your doing it right, keep the solder inbetween the metal strips of the circuit board.

Why are you doing all this? Well its 70$ US at the dealership to buy a new one, itS 0$ at ur house and about 20 minutes of your time, well worth it.

Now when you got everything back together and back int he car, test it out.

Working? Sweet

Not working? You have to do the same thing to your LKM now, I will post a link as I have never done that one myself so here is a guide.

Let me know if that helps
