Re: Taking Back Sunday

LOL, I'm not sure if this is related in any way, but the term "Taking Back Sunday" is used in our area by the local churches and religious organizations. Their goal is to ask schools and other non-church related organizations to not schedule games, meetings, outings, etc on Sunday mornings before noon. This gives time for the people to attend mass or services at their church/place of worship. I guess schools and other organizations had started hosting events which conflicted with people's schedules for attending church services. It kind of reminds me of going back to the day when Sunday was set aside to go to church, and not have too many commitments scheduled that day,and "keeping the Sabbath Day 'holy', similar to the old Blue Laws.A number of churches in the area have had letters to the editor printed in our local paper stating this , and they all call it "Taking back Sunday'', and the letter is signed by a number of churches of different denominations, working together to make this effort known.
