Question

I mean, it costs 1000 more than a Hyndai (spelt that wrong) Sonata, with the same equipment. Teh option packages are different, but thestyling is the only real difference. Their customer-research showed Kia was more 'up-market' (it may be an oxy-moron, but that is starting to fade) than Hyndai. So for the extra (American) grand, you better LOVE that styling.
Sorry to all those Optima owners, but I just had to do it

Are you drunk? Between the title of this thread, and the "clever wording" of your post, I really think so. :hehehe:

My parents bought one back in November. It's actually a pretty nice car.

Optima

I think it is a pretty good value car. 1 Grand more than Sonata is worth the refinement in suspension and turning stability. Surprising silent engine from 70kph - 140kph, quieter than sitting in my brother's Accord. Reliable so far. Only alittle slower acceleration below 50 kph, which explains the engine sound when you are impatient. Unusually better pickup than most 2-litre Japs saloon from 60kph - 100kph. An outstanding car from Asia (not just Korean). Keep it up Kia!
