Fuel Problem?
So, Here's the deal.
On the way to work I filled up an empty tank of gas. 5 miles down the road the car putz' out. It starts to run real bad, RPMs jumping all over the place, the car lunges a little, then regardless of how much, or little I push on the accelerator the car wont go over 2grand. I coast over to the side of the road and take a look. I find that my AC belt is gone. The car starts, but runs like complete crap. I was able to drive the car halfway up the rollback, before it would no longer pull it's weight. What I have done so far is: pumped out old gas, replaced fuel filter, added 5 gal premium and started. For a second it sounded like the engine was running better, but overall I had no change in symptoms, the car still runs like crap. I did notice that while the car was running that the cruise control light would come on, then go off a few times, as well as a couple other lights. There are no engine codes popping up. Is the AC belt related to this problem or is it coincedence? What step should I take next. any help or suggestions will be welcomed and appreciated. Jake W. '94 Concorde 3.5L

from what you're describing sounds like a very bad vacuum leak. Check around your intake manifold for loose vacuum hoses, etc. Since you mentioned that you have the 3.5 V6, it's very common on these engines for the intake manifold to slip out of place and cause driveability problems. Before you tackle on that project, try checking your vacuum hoses.

thats a tough one. none of your symptoms match. a/c belt doesnt sound related and the fill up probably isnt either. i would look at fuel pressure. if you dont have a guage, try unhooking the vac line from the fuel press reg, if it runs better, you prob have a f/p going bad.

94 concord running rough
I recently bought a 94 Concorde, the car ran real rough at low speeds and at idle.
PART of the fix ended up being a timing belt and water pump replacement (one unit piece) and replacement of the idle tension pulley. The car runs a lot smoother, but not smooth enough. I will be checking the intake manifold (as suggested in this same thread).
