Subing a Neon

Has anyone ever heard of putting a frame and solid rear end under a Neon and making a V8 dragster out of it?I have seen it done once and didn't get a chance to talk to the guy about all he had to do but it was kinda weird seeing a Neon pull the front wheels 2 feet off the ground.I am just looking for some ideas.I Figured a 318 should do the trick.

Why not?You did read my signature line didn't you?Actually in addition to my 99 Neon I have a 97 that was a donor car and I am just looking for something different to try.You can turbo a Neon, thats easy but how many people do you know that have a rear wheel drive small block V8 in a Neon? Not many I am looking for the right frame right now and when I get home I am going to start all the sheet metal work.

Good luck to you...not many people have done it, but it has been done! So why not do something that noone has done yet, that way you are original instead of just rare

I am open to suggestions.Maybe a 4x4 Neon on 33's or something,I am pretty sure no one has done that yet.

Re: Subing a Neon

There is only so much you can do with a car before it gets gaudy and ridiculous.Maybe I should just scrap the idea all together and haul the car to the crusher.
