Buy a newer car with auto windows? j/k Look for a small set screw somewhere near the car door panel or some kind of push to lock mechanism

Re: front speakers

I have replaced the front speakers in my 05 and found the window levers a little tricky to take off. Just behind the lever (between door panel and lever on the post) there is a retaining clip that needs to be removed and the lever will pull striaght off. Hope this helps....

Cheers.

Re: front speakers

I believe that a body panel remover is a good tool to have, for any application. I'm planning on picking one up before I start some of my mods...and i guess you can use them just about everywhere on the car....also, i dont know how this will do, but if you get a screwdriver and wedge it up it might work...but dont quote me on that

Re: front speakers

believe it or not an shop towel can remove it from what I'v heard. take the towel, slide it behind the window crank, kinda wrapping it around it somewhat, I believe givit a "twist" and pull and the clip will come out with the rag. I''m going off of memory of something I read once so take it as you will.

Re: front speakers

Using a screw driver does not work (I tried that first) very limited space, but a tool with a 90 degree bend in it will work. As for the shop towel, it is very possible that will work because the clip is only a wire spring clip, nothing too strong, but the next time I have to take the door panel off I will try it and let you know the out come..
