What about the 2.4L ?
I am thinking of getting the 2.4L but would like to know more about this engine. How long has it been around? How well does it work? Any issues?

Re: What about the 2.4L ?
It's part of GM's line of Ecotec engines and uses a "VVT"(Variable Valve Timing) system that's much like Honda's "Vtec". It produces around 175 BHP and will run in the 15.5-15.9 area(depending on driver)in the 1/4 mile with a 5-speed tranny in the 2 door model. It should also respond to modding nicely as well.
It just came out 3-4 months ago, but seems to be doing fine for it's owners so far. However, it is still too new to give you a whole lot of facts on reliability. Hope this helps.
