2000 towncar factory amp location

I am trying to determine if my 2000 Executive has a factory installed amp. Any idea where it would be located or where I can find out based on the VIN?

I had a new stereo installed by Best Buy and the right side speakers are working intermittently. They think it might be a problem with the factory amp.

The VIN ID does have some radio information in it,
Check here.

All the previous years have the amp on the "package shelf" (the spare tire shelf in the trunk), I suspect yours is in the same location.

PS
All the Best Buy Installers I've ever had dealings with are hackers!!
I would never trust these fools to put their hands on my Town Car, let alone installing something.

PPS
If you happen to be a Best Buy installer, reading this, you know exactly what I'm talking about! You don't give a shit about your customers car!!
