Wheel/brake/MAFS/ECU conversion questions

I read all I could find in the FAQ about these topics. If there is a section of the FAQ explaining the following questions please direct me.

Is it true that if you spend $2500 you can get the offset you want without converting to 5 lug?

Is the 300zx MAFS upgrade plug and play?
If anyone has done this please PM or post on it. This is a manditory upgrade for when I go top feed with my injectors, and I want to get the right size injectors that coordinate with the 300zx MAFS, if its feasible to swap. The stock MAFS is too small, something must be done!

If you buy 300zx drilled and slotted rotors and 300zx calipers, the only mods to the product in order for it to fit your car is drilling the 4 lug pattern?

Thanks in advance for any intelligible replies.

*By the way, this morning after work, I ran neck and neck from a red light with a 03' IS300 all the way to the end of 3rd gear then he braked down and turned off. maybe its not that fast of a car but it has 10 years of tech on my babygirl.*

Sounds like BS to me. But R.W.240 would be the one to ask about this. He knows rims/sizing very well.

No, it is not plug and play. It requires something to control/recognize its signal in order for it to work. An SAFC or ECU tune would take care of it. You must wire it in as well. The 240sx plug doesn't work for it. Match the colors of the wires and ground the wire that doesn't match up from the 300ZX MAFS to a chassis ground. Any injectors will work with the 300zx MAFS as long as your management is set up to control them. Are you sure you need one? The stocker goes to ~250whp. I mean if you are doing an ECU tune, then go ahead and get it. But if you are just doing a SR20 370 cc injectors setup, don't swap it yet. I see people doing that all the time and it makes no sense.

Yes. IIRC, you can buy them pre-drilled, but don't hold me to that.

.
I typically don't do things to my car that do not make sense. I have 6 extra 440cc and 550cc denzo style injectors laying around from previous projects. I would use which ever are most appropriate for the 300zx MAFS. I would assume the best thing to do is add up the cc's of a stock 300zx's injectors(all 6), then divide by 4 to get the cc's most suitable for 4 cylinder using 300zx MAFS. Of course a top feed fuel rail.

I also plan on using a sneaky pete kit for the time being(50-75). Which will put a little more demand for flow on the MAFS.

It doesn't matter what size injectors you use with the 300zx MAFS.

Actually no it won't. Nitrous in itself contains the extra oxygen that in turn creates more power by being combusted with more fuel. All the extra oxygen entering the engine comes from the nitrous which never goes through the MAFS. So no higher airflow% than normal.

What Offset are you looking for? Alot of Rims are showing up with Decent 4H offset for around 1000$.

It really depends on what wheel your asking about. for most 2-3 peice wheels it shouldnt be a problem unless you want some Boso dish or something. Most monoblock wheels probably wont make you custom ones unless you get a pretty big group buy going (SPL had to order 50 sets of the 4H 17x9 +20 FN01R). also the time to get a custom wheel made will be longer. Im not sure about the 2500$ though... maybe...

My 5H Swap cost:
150$ for the front hub / spindle (RIP OFF)
200$ For the rear 300ZX Uprights and Parking Brakes (Unnessicary)
200$ For all Four 300ZX Calipers (26mm Aluminum)
200$ for brake rotors (Try and get the 30mm Calipers. 26 Rotors come from Nissan and Are $$$)
100$ SPL Braided Brake Lines (Unnessicary but you'll want them
80$ S14 FLCAs (14mm Wider Track and S14 Ball Joints already there)
80$ Nismo FLCA Bushings (Unnesssicary but I wanted em)
100$ for Misc Bolts and Pins I lost or didnt have

so I spent a little over 1100$ getting 5H Hubs, Aluminum Uprights, and Z Brakes but you could get the 5H conversion itself done for 300 dollars if you ditch some of the ammenitys. then there are alot more options out there for wheels that you wont have to wait forever for and then cry when you tear one up.

If you don't use enough CC's then you can lean out by using too large of a MAFS.

I realize that I will not "need" the larger MAFS for nitrous, but it will help me out in my overall run. I've opened my exhaust up enough and with the injector upgrade, I will definately make use of the larger MAFS..

So I guess my question is what unit will I need in order to use the 440's from my supra?

I use 615cc injectors for my 300zx MAFS and I don't run rich. Both Enthalpy and JWT use different "burned chips" AKA "Bin files" that allow different size injectors to work with the 300zx MAFS.
