who has ebay intakes?

Ok, So I did my research. What I want to know is get a poll of people who have cheap ebay intake and review on its effects. Same for the brand name. Also, if anyone has tried both, a review on that would be good too. People say an ebay is just as good, but how many people actually have one. So, here is some more research.

Re: who has ebay intakes?

You're better off with an AEM CAI, most of the time people say that ebay intakes dont fit correctly. Spend the $200 and get the right intake.

I would get an AEM original cold air. As long as you arent going to be getting a new intake manifold or new engine or something. Now the V2 I wont buy...way to damn expensive.

Lets not forget that an intake on an NA honda barely does anything in the first place....

An intake is generally...just an intake. If anything's gonna make a difference, its the filter you have shoved onto the end of it. I'm not saying AEM intakes are a waste or anything, since you pay for the fitment and overall quality of the product.

ebay intakes forever.... why waste ridiculous amounts of money on something that is goin to get you minimal gains. Got mine for 40 bux. Did it fit? Nope, but any idiot with a hack saw can fix them to fit properly... out of about 5 ebay intakes ive put on none of them fit properly, but they all worked well. If i was to buy a namebrand intake it would be the Weapon R Secret Weapon.

Re: who has ebay intakes?

If you can afford it, buy it. If not then go the ebay way.

Re: Re: who has ebay intakes?

Hey, thanks for your quick responses. I posted a good poll. A crap load of people vewied it. I think that considering I work at Target making 7.85 per hour, I'll just go the ebay way. I'm able to hack a few things and be creative if I can save over $100. Thanks guys.

Re: Re: Re: who has ebay intakes?

Ok, so I bought the Aem short ram. Worth the 100 bucks. Sounds great and gives an extra umph at high rpm. It's is loud as hell when your past 5k rpms. never realized intakes were so loud. also a nice deep sound when your punching it in a low rpm. I recommend it.
