Olds Silhouette BCM (Body Control Module)

Greetings;

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that can tell me where I can purchase a BCM for my 2002 Olds Silhouette minivan. From what I've read, the BCM is specific to your particular VIN#. So you either have to pay a dealer to do it, or purchase it "Pre-Programmed". Is this correct, or can you program it yourself?

Also, when replacing the BCM, is there anything I should be aware of so I don't screw up my security system or other related electrical components? (I already know about how to get the radio codes).
