Fuel Pump - Reliable Brand Names
I replaced my fuel pump earlier this year and have noticed that whenever I get below 1/3rd of a tank my truck will quickly stumble and stall. I think the pump is cutting out do to the heat, Phoenix Arizona city traffic gets very hot. It so far has restarted right away and go for a mile or two before stalling again. My gut feeling is the cheap fuel pump I used for a replacement. Master was the brand from AutoZone. I think I have a limited lifetime warranty with that pump, but be damned if I get burnt twice. I never had this problem with the factory pump no matter what the fuel tank level was.
My question for you is what fuel pump brand should I get thats been reported reliable and if you could the best place to buy it from? Thanks

DELCO the parts stores will sell you their brand and give you a lifetime warranty but damn how many times do you want to change it. and make sure you change the isolator hose between the pump and the rail, they crack and will cause you problems.

Re: Fuel Pump - Reliable Brand Names
Delphi brand is what GM uses. GM charges around $80.00. I called around and O'Reiley's carried the Delphi brand pump for my truck for $50.00. Change fuel filter why you are at it, a restricted filter can damage a pump.
