trunk wont open
and yet another problem. 2000 VR6 trunk lid wont open, i went to change my tail light and it wont open. never had a problem with this before, i have opened it with both the switch inside the car as well as the key, is there maybe a safety switch inside the actual trunk that i could use, please help im one problem away from torching this damn car and going back to the good ol' chevy

If the trunk switch is the only thing not working the the most common thing I've found is the switch's electrical connector. Does your's have the lockout where the valet key won't work?

no i have the actual key, its not the valet one and its the only key i have, it never had a problem opening the trunk before, i can hear it wanting to open when i turn the key but it doesnt actully unlock,

If you hear the solenoid in the trunk activating when you push the button then the problem is with the linkage from the solenoid to the latch mechanism.
