So long, New Orleans

Looks like its a matter of "when" not a matter of "if" now. She could use a good wash down and air out anyway.

That's why I'll never move to the South East; hurricanes and tornados. To me it's like those people who move to homes that are on cliffs, and then are surprised when their house crashes down hill.

Soon there will still be tops coming off (but tops of homes instead of girls this time).

Re: So long, New Orleans

Shame on all making fun... As someone whos close by thats all thats on TV... And seeing all the people who are in my area fleeing the situation...

People have lost EVERYTHING! From jobs, to their homes, vehicles... Things they have worked most of their lives to attain! And for a large amount, even their lives! And theres still so many still stranded in attics and on roof tops who are probably going to lose their lives aswell... Im sure theres plenty of members absent from this very site now because of this situation... Who have nothing to return home too... Its sad, and certainly nothing to make a joke about...

Re: So long, New Orleans

The jokes were all made before it actually hit. Honestly I do feel bad for most. There are a lot of areas where people are just getting by financially and now everything is gone for them. But I still don't feel bad for the people who are like "I'm going to rebuild and stick right here, whether another storm comes or not". The people who can afford to move, but refuse to. Those kind of people are dumbasses and deserve no sympathy.
And it just shows how much the government has their heads up their asses. Oh geeze, thanks Mr. Bush for ending your long fucking vacation early. Great way to spend the tax payers $, and spend your time while thousands of US citizens are being killed in the invasion you started (to get rich off of oil). Thanks governer and officials for lining your pockets with $ and not spending that $ to make sure the pumps at the levys will actually work when there's a massive power outage.

Re: So long, New Orleans

Yea, I understand... I even made a few jokin comments before hand... My post wasnt really directed to those here... But just stuff in general on other forums since the incident making fun....

But I do agree... If you could afford to get out, but didnt when the mandatory evacuation was called, then thats on you... But if u watch the news, there many who obviously couldnt afford to get out... In those cases I still feel they should have gone to the super dome, or made other arrangements... Not wait it out in your house... I also feel, if you have children, and didnt evacuate, or get to a shelter, you should be prosecuted... Its just wrong to put chidren at risk like that! If you want to stay with the house, fine... But send the children to safety!

And the people who didnt have money to goto the Super dome even could have called the Police or someone else and they would have given them a ride...

And now we have a**holes looting stuff they dont need to survive, and shooting people...

Its just a whole sad situation...
