Pick on your own size?
would you guys ever challenge a car that you know is slower than you? i mean WAY slower than you? that wouldn't be fun.....anyways, here's my story....So, i was in the parking lot waiting for my lil bro to come out, i took him shopping for his "back to school" clothes, i had my window down since it was burning outside and just chilling when this 2000-ish celica came creeping around my rear bumper, when he passed me he floored it, then he waited at the stop sign for like 5 minutes hoping i would back up and chase after him, his celica didn't sound stock, anyways, he turned again and came around a second time, then a third, then just waited there, the guy probably thought i was gonna leave or something and wanted a run, i was like..."wat a duma%s" my car is pure stock, no exhaust, no ricey stickers, no nothing
he left after about 10-15 minutes hoping to run with my stock 94 rolla ![]() so....i wanna ask all u guys if you ever done anything like that? and if you dont know, those 2000-ish celica gts runs high 14s stock oh..and a lil update, my car died on me recently, turned out to be a bad alternator, i replaced the whole thing today and new battery...i just thought i told all my friends at AF my lil story

Re: Pick on your own size?
I don't go around challenging runts but I'll put a runt to shame if he's cocky.

Re: Pick on your own size?
... Sounds like he was just driving around the parking lot being a tool.
No big deal.

Re: Pick on your own size?
man don't even worry about it those guys get on my nerves too. Like man don't come charging at me like your special you know. If I raced every dumb little car that tryed to race me my ntrous wouldn't last but 20 minutes. the only time you race those guys is when its A: a chick or B: his g/f is in the car and he's trying to impress her

Re: Pick on your own size?
I can't say I've never picked on a ricer.
I roll up next to one and ask if its a ferrari or if he was double clutching. A stock car like yours i would never think of revving or looking 2 times at if he wasn't doing anything. Never turn a ricer down if he wants a run though |

Do I ever pick on slower cars, hmmm.....
Well, the only cars I ever "go after" are any make/model Mustang, F-Body, or Vette really. Once I get up to them I'll give em a look and try to ascertain if they are stock or not. I'll also scope out the driver to see what they are thinking about me - if they feel like running or not. If its an older model that in stock trim would not be able to take a stock 275hp F-Body then I'll typically wait for them to let 'r rip before booting it - mind you this approach has backfired horribly on me before lol, but the times where I'm right and the other car was in fact stock it usually ends up being fun for both of us. I can say I've never rubbed it in someones face after a race. Nevertheless win or lose I only look for races with people who are interested - I can honestly say after most street drags I'm usually hanging out the window at the next light yapping with the dude who just ran about our cars and what we were doing. But if I pull up against an aging 5.0 and the guy gives me no indication he wants to go, then forget about it. |

Re: Pick on your own size?
Or, you could do it the old fashioned way and actually get a job
. But, if you're that lazy. Then yeah, I guess that way would work.
