stroking

Whats going on guys. I'm thinking very hard on stroking the ka24de out to 2.6-2.7 from the original 2.4. What do you all think. Its not really something you see. Laso if you know of any actual kits that include the crankshaft and what not please throw a link.

Im pretty sure...they make a .02 over kit which will take you to 2.5 but stroking it to a 2.6 or 2.7...I dunno...

Re: stroking

i thought that was impossible, due to the already somewhat thin walls.

Re: stroking

Wouldn't a .02 over kit bring him to 2.42?

Re: stroking

It woudl cost a lot and the RPM limit will drop due to excessive piston speeds. Not very practical IMO esp with the existing turbo kits on the market.

Re: stroking

Ivan over at phatka-t.com found numerous flaws in its "advertised" specs. I wouldn't trust spending that much money on a kit with flaws in the numbers.

Re: stroking

I'm not sure if you guys have ever heard of Fast by Flockie or not. He was ranked in the top 3 for best engine builders a couple years ago. He told me to bring it in and he would see what he could do to it. Ill keep you guys informed. BTW no turbo kit for me right now, too many miles, since im redoing internals i figured might as well stroke it out a lil bit and get some more power.

When its .02 over in every cylinder if i remeber the stroking kit right which would make it 2.48...relatively 2.5
