tutorial - intake with grill

here I am again...after this one, I have a tut about making highlights...(for as far a can do that:-p). This one is about making a intake with a grill and it takes a lot of time to make the grill...sometimes I think it's work for crazy people...but ok...here it is.

-------------------------------
1. You start with drawing the intake. You can draw the line all around to close the line, but I only drawed the line you need.

-------------------------------
2. Now you color the whole inside of the intake grey (or which color you want ur grill to be...

-------------------------------
3. Now you pull lines criss cross like that so you get 'diamonds'.
Don't draw the lines to close to each other!! cause than it will be more crazy as it allready is:-p also dont draw them too far away from each other, cause than you have big holes in ur grill.

--------------------------------
4. Now you have to color all the 'diamonds' one by one like I did in the second pic below. So you leave a small piece at the right site...or you do it at the reverse way...so you leave a piece white at the other site...thats just what you prefer...but if you started like I did, all the other diamonds have to be colored at the same way!!

---------------------------------
5. This is how it can look like while ur busy with coloring the diamonds...

---------------------------------
6. Now it's finished so we can go to the next step

---------------------------------
7. We make an 'outline' around the grill we just colored.

---------------------------------
8. Now we give it a shadow...you can think now : why did I color the pieces underneeth the shadow, but you can see them through the shadow. So it's ur own choise if you draw them.

---------------------------------
9. Now we color the stuff around the grill. You color from the inside (dark) to the outside (light) and you leave a small piece wite, so it looks like a reflection.

Re: tutorial - intake with grill

Nice one again Venom! Just one thing to add: You can minimize your chances or making mistakes by indenting the paper surface with a stylus or light pencil, so if you accidentally color over the indented part, it'll stay the same because it's harder to get pencil/colored pencil in there. I'm not sure if this works for markers.
