Honday keyless entry problems

Our '97 Honda Accord SE keyless entry will unlock the drivers door on occasion, but nothing else. Have changed the batteries, etc. When we sit in the car, the locks start making a repeated clicking sound. It will stop and then later it could randomly start clicking again. Does the whole system need to be replaced or what? One place said it might be the celenoid(?) Any ideas?
