Angry Mystery ABS Light

Hello again,
My ABS light is staying on in my 96 Impala SS. Along with that, my speedometer doesn't work. I went to my mechanic this morning to get a diagnostic of the ABS. His computer said that there is no communication with the ABS. We looked for a bad fuse or relay, but I didn't find any in the fuse centers, inside or under the hood. I don't know what to do to fix this problem Any thoughts?
