Parking brake light stays on.

First off, I apologize about the "300C vs the 3000GT" thing. I was cruising through these forums and I kinda forgot where I was when I made the thread.

Car: 1995 Eagle Summit DL Wagon - 1.8L I-4

It seems like the indicator in the dash for the parking brake stays on even though the brake is disengaged. The car doesn't really feel held back either while the light's on. I've noticed it happens more frequently when the car is left under the baking sun. Usually it would turn off when I pull the brake and disengage it a few times.

Could it be the brake doesn't fully disengage, or the sensor has a little problem?

It could also mean that your brake fluid reservoir is low. Even if the brakes don't feel any different you should have the pads/rotors inspected for wear.

The brake light comes on when there is a difference in pressure between the two hydraulic braking circuits. Most cars have one circuit for the front and one for the back.
Often in older cars a brake line or caliper (or wheel cylinder in drum brakes) starts to leak. The loss of fluid make a low pressure situation on one circuit and the brake light comes on.
