PCV...I gotta be looking right at it?
I'm having the hardest time finding the PCV valve for my 98' 3.0 danger ranger. Ever look in the fridge for the mayo or musterd and not find it at all, then ask your wife and she walks right over and pulls it right out of your face! I swear this is what the PCV vale is like for me. I've read wear it should be, but have had no luck. Does anyone have a picture of its location for the 3.0, or maybe draw it out for me with crayons and construction paper please.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated! JP |

Now that we're on the subject of locating the PCV valve on your Ranger.... I am also looking to replace MY PCV valve in order to pass the emissions test for the annual state inspection. I myself own a '01 XLT with the 3.0 ltr/6. My "Check Engine" light has been on for a month now. Just WHERE is this PCV valve?? I have heard that it can be done in 10 minutes providing you can loosen the bolts without stripping them.
I will keep my eyes on this thread. Thanks for bringing it up. |

Up til 92 or 93 I think theyre on the drivers side cover toward the firewall. 98's probably the same or close.

'98
Under hood, center, upper engine area, top of engine, mounted in the driver side valve cover Some pcv's thread in, some press in. They are almost always sticking out of the valve cover, and if your having trouble identifying it, pick up a new one before you change it. |
