Code 20 on ECU

I'm getting 20 Flashes on my ECU and my car will not start. I converted this 90 Civic Hatch from Automatic to Manual.

I had the starter and solenoid rebuilt today and that fixed the code 19 I was getting earlier.

What could be the problem here?

I should have specified that I already knew that. Sorry.

Just wondering if someone could give specifics on the problem/problems.

Not to long ago there was another guy on here with that same code.
I never ended up hearing if he got it fixed tho.
Hopefully he'll read this thread and be able to help you out.

I just tried manually starting the car using the battery on to the starter solenoid. It starts up and runs no problem. Obviously something must be wrong with my ignition.

When we switched the pedals on the car there was a sensor on the clutch pedal. Could that be causing my car to not start? Am I going to have to run a wire from the pedal to the ECU?

Re: Code 20 on ECU

It makes sense, since you have to use the clutch to start the car. Maybe somebody with a remote start who has bypassed this "sensor" can help you out. I know Vladlos did it.
