96 T-Bird Squeaking Noise 3.8L
I'm new to this forum, so I'll keep my words short. Ok, there is a squeaking noise. I have replaced the belt, idler pulley, and water pump, and it still squeaks. What can it be?
Thanks ccbr01 |

Re: 96 T-Bird Squeaking Noise
One way to track down where a noise is coming from is by using a LONG screwdriver with the tip placed at various locations while placing the end of the handle against your ear. Just be careful of moving parts!

Re: 96 T-Bird Squeaking Noise
goto you parts store and get an oil charge for your system.. not the bottle you pour in but the bottle you can connect to your ac port. See if that doesn help.

you would need to experiment-measure belt and get a shorter one and see how that fits and go up or down accordingly....you could take a piece of small diameter rope and route around pulleys and cut at exact length take to auto zone and they will measure for you
