Help 92 lumina code 23 and 35?

I've searched and searched but couldnt find anything useful.

I have 2 codes code 23 23- Mixture Control (MC) Solenoid circuit open or
grounded.
and code 35 Idle Speed Control (SC) Switch circuit shorted.\

what do these mean?

could it be the wiring or are the switches bad?

it wants to stall when i brake at a light etc. it goes down to about 500 rpm or so

i replaced the map sensor and iac sensor today before this started happening and i am going to replace the oxygen sensor later this week my car has 185000 miles so its time is due for some maintenance.

check wiring, grounds, could be ecm
if you've replaced the sensors and it didn't fix the problem
check the circuit for bad or diconnected connections

I am incredibly happy right now after 3 days of trouble i finally fixed it!!!!

I had replaced the map sensor and the iac valve from a local junkyard i luckily found one of the map sensors to be standard products and 2 other i took off cars were gm so i bought the standard products one and i bought 2 good looking iac valves. At they looked better than the one my car had on it.

the problem was after i replaced those 2 parts the car would turn on nicely on the first try but when driving i'd get these 2 codes and it would almost stall when stopped with the brake applied.

I forgot to reset the pcm so i pulled the ecm fuse for 30 secs then plugged it in and ran the car for about 5 minutes with the e-brake applied and in drive. Then i took it on the expressway for a few minutes and the whole time its the first time ive ever seent he rpm needle go to 1000 when i let off the gas on the expressway it always at 1500-2000 even without gas applied.

and now at idle it idles at about 800 but before it was always at about 1200-2000 at idle and it was getting very annoying because i recently had to replace the top mounts because they were torn because the car would engage very harsh when shifting and i knew it was the high rpms causing it.

Now everything is fine hopefully it lasts a while. Thanks for all your posts guys it helped me narrow it down its always great to have a forum that can help pinpoint the common sensors that need replacing makes it all a lot easier.
