Anyone go to Pegasus Hobbies??

I just went there today, I have not been there in quite a while. Last time I was there was for rccar parts. I was not into scale model building at the time. But I went today for the sole purpose of looking at their scale model section. This store has tons of models in stock. Mainly models that are currently out from the major manufacturers. They also have a lot of detail parts, racks of them actually. They have a big selection of styrene too. They also had some special kits that vary in how old they are. If you live anywhere near Montclair,ca you need to check it out. Here is the website http://www.pegasushobbies.com/

I used to live 3 miles from them. Now I'm almost 250 miles away. I hope I don't run out of anything! :o

I guess there's a little irony in my thinking the same thing right before I read your post.

Re: Anyone go to Pegasus Hobbies??

Here is a copy of a PM I wrote to drunken money. Since some members here seem to think a like just read this so there is no problem.

Hello, I just wanted to reply to your post in my thread reffering a hobby store. See the thing that seperates my thread from spam is that I dont work there, I gain nothing by reffering a hobby store other then the fact that I might make fellow hobbier's life easier. Now some member sent me a private message yesterday reffering to a site that has a contest and he had 0 posts. Now thats a person who spams. I hope next time you will take into consideration the facts of the thread before making assumptions. Thank you

Re: Anyone go to Pegasus Hobbies??

Relax buddy, if we really thought it was spam, it would have been removed

Re: Anyone go to Pegasus Hobbies??

They do have a lot of stuff. I was there last month. drove up from the old pasadena/glendale area. Really wasnt worth the long drive through some of LA's conjested freeways. I used to go to their whittier shop but thats been closed years ago. They have tons and tons of kits but i could get those at the hobby shops closer to my place. They do have a variety of lowrider wheels and some accessories. As for building supplies, well... i my LHS have more to offer. They ignored me most of the time i was there but that was because they were short on workers. All in all, the only thing i was able to buy were a set of chrome on gold lowrider wheels and their last Tamiya wax bottle. I could have gotten everything else cheaper at my LHS and saved on gas. Only other thing that caught my eyes was a piece of vynel cloth for making a ragtop on cars. I havent seen it anywhere else and might drive back for that, although right now $3.29 is a bit too much for me to spend on gas to drive there. My opinion, if you're looking for plastic model car stuff then stick to your LHS, but they might be worth it for Diecasts and RCs.
