Anybody want service manuals?
I'm trading in my '92 VR4. I have both the service manuals...mechanical and electrical. I'm not going to give them away with the car. Anyone here interested in them? Make me an offer.

Trading in....(long)
No, I'm afraid it's become a money pit. The guy I bought it from had rebuilt the engine computer 5 times, it kept going bad after two to three months. (I didn't know this at the time I bought it, of course). Well, it's bad again. I bought a used one, but it didn't fix the problem. I don't think the problem is the computer (Duh!), but the diagnostic keeps saying it is. Therefore finding the true problem looks like it could be expensive. I could get it running, only to have it eat anouther computer in a couple of months. So, I think I'm going to run away from it as fast as I can.
The wife drives a Dakota R/T 5.9 that I'm going to take. She needs a 4 door anyway since our son is 11yrs old now and is really too big to ride in the back seat of the extended cab. The Mitsubishi dealership where it is being serviced has an immaculate Subaru Outback LL Bean edition. Hey, it's going to be her car, she get's a say so. lol. But really, it's champagne color, with the gold alloy wheels, tan leather and wood grain interior, front and rear sun roofs, 6 disc changer, heated seats, etc. etc. and only 25,000 miles on an '03 model. Anyway, the dealership is willing to take myVR4 on trade and give me what I paid for it in march when it was running. That's a pretty good deal considering the repair bill could be pretty big if I keep it. I loved driving the car, but it's trying to put me in the poor house. I don't suppose any of you guys with lots of 3s experience have seen a problem like mine and know what's causing it?

I need to get $5000 out of the car. Other than the computer problem it's in good shape. It's only got 70 something thousand miles on it. Kelly Blue book lists it as $10,000 retail in only fair condition. I don't know if you were looking to spend that much for a parts car, but in all honesty, it's in a lot better shape than a parts car. It just needs this one problem traced down. Anyway, if you are interested, let me know very soon. I'm supposed to hear from the dealer today about how much they will give me for it. If they say $5000 or more, it's outa here.
As for the manuals, I don't know what they cost. Make me an offer. Steve [email protected]

Re: Anybody want service manuals?
Well, it's gone. I traded it in today. They said they talked to Mitsubishi about the problems it's having and it appears to be the part that sends voltage to the computer...I can't remember the name. But it would cost about $500 to fix it. So if anybody wants a VR4 pretty cheap that wouldn't cost a ton to fix, let me know, I'll let you know how to contact the dealer.
