95 Talon won't turn over

I have a 95 Eagle talon in my garage for the winter. I went to start it a week after I put it up and it wouldn't start. I hear the fuel pump and some clicks under the hood but it won't even try yo turn over. No bad fuses, loose wires, battery is charged, I have lights and power but I am stumped. Anyone that can give some suggestions I'd appreciate it. [email protected]

Thanks

How long has it sat up? If you say that it's not turning over, pray to God that the motor's not seized up b/c it hasn't ran for some time.

Re: 95 Talon won't turn over

It sat for maybe a week before it did this. The odd thing is it did this last year too, it wouldn't start for about 4 months. In the spring (04) I had it towed to the local Mitsu dealer and it started right up for them. They never had/found a problem, also in the summer, no problems. It's very odd, could it be a relay or something of the sort?

Re: 95 Talon won't turn over

it might be your starter relay. If it makes a click sound when you turn the key on but no go from the starter, you could have a faulty solenoid; they have a tendency to work when they want to.

Re: 95 Talon won't turn over

I kind of though it was the starter relay. Do you know where it is located in my car? Or know of somewhere I could look to find out? I have that haynes repair manual and it's not in there. Thanks

I also have a 95 Eagle Talon and it has been giving me the same problem.

I just changed the Starter (I was giving me problems-Hi Amp Draw), and it starts better but it still won't start at times. I've checked the Clutch Switch (OK), Battery (OK), Starter (OK-It's New), the only other thing it could be is either loose connector somewhere or the Starter Relay.

I believe the Starter Relay is located inside the center console on the Right Bottom Side toward the firewall (not on the firewall).

You can take the center console out and listen for the clicking as you try and start it.

Hope the info helps.

Oh, Starter Relay is a Dealer Item.
