98 Explorer Limited help

OK, I loved my 94 Limited, but I just picked up a 98 Limited and have the following problems and guesses as to cause. I'd really appreciate any tips... I've only had the darned thing for a week.

1) Memory Seat: The power seats both work fine, but the memory seat button seems "dead". No light when you hit set, and none of the buttons do anything. I had this feature in the 1994 (switch is even the same part), so I know how it's supposed to work. I guess my first test would be to pull the switch and test power to it, but has anyone else had this? I can't imagine the switch wearing out since once you set it you tend not to need it anymore. My guess is no power to the switch...

2) Horn: Made ugly sounds when first pushed then died completely. My first guess would be a dead horn unit. The relay clicks when you hit the horn button, and the fuses check our OK.

3) Radio display: It seems like everyone has the blank display problem that I have. I haven't decided if I'm just going to live with it, try to fix myself by checking solder connections, or send it out for repair. I've seen the "resolder x and y connection" link, and the $19.99 "more detailed" option. Comments?

4) A/C: Worked great for the first few days. I'm not sure if it's the blend door problem, and if it is I'll probably try the blenddoor fix that is posted in this forum, but my problem seems a bit different than others describe. I can't get A/C to cool much, even on max, but the freon is full and the condenser is really cold to the touch. It died at about the same time I had all of the fluids replaced, so I'm curious if someone maybe knocked off a vaccuum or electrical connector.

5) Unused factory connector: There is a two wire factory connector with the little plastic pins to clip it to the body in the drivers side front inside the bumper. The wires are red and pink (was too dark to see the stripe colors). I can't find any wire pairs even close to this in the service manual, and I'm not sure if this is an "unused" connector for a later option or if it's been unplugged from something. It's only visible looking up from under the bumper.

6) Ambient temp sensor: Does this thing look kind of like a water temp sensor (i.e. brass with threads and a protuding tip?). I think that's what I see dangling from the connector under the bumper/grille area, but it's missing any kind of bracket to hold it.

The truck runs great, so I'd love to fix these "little" problems and would appreciate any feedback before I start wrenching.
