Smile MPC '70 GTO project

Hi. So far all I have done are minor things such as shaved drip rails and door handles. Paint will be Nissan LeMans Sunset Metallic from Cobra Colors. Wheels are from Tamiya but I forget which kit as I got them in a trade. Interior will be various shades of tan and beige. I might try scratchbuilding a fuel injection system but who knows? It's just being built for fun (what a strange concept these days!! )]). Comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Re: MPC '70 GTO project

Nice project!
The wheels looks like the ones in the Tom's Castrol Toyota Supra, but I'm not sure. If so it's Volk racing.

Can't wait! Awesome color selection and I love the wheels.
Definitely go EFI on it.
Maybe add a little rake to it, but damn how cool does it look with those wheels/tires and it's not even painted!

Hell yea, i love old pro-touring style classic muscle. Build it like Andrew Borodin's GTO!!! (with your own color of course)

Looks good so far and i like the choice on the rims.

If you want to contact Andrew about his car or get more pics you can register on that site the link is to and he posts on here, or people will know how to reach him easier. They're all really cool people.

William

Yea that site is full of popular hotrodding cars and tv show cars!

Dangit T7, you beat me to it!!!

I hope to get to my '70 goat later this year. Great choice of color and you gotta do EFI. It's not too hard. I'm doing EFI on my Cuda and I have an AMT '69 Ford Torino Talladega that I started 3 years ago that will be resurrected later in 2005 that is getting EFI on top of a 427 SOHC.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Marc

Re: MPC '70 GTO project

Hi. Having no job has one advantage I guess; more building time. I started the scratchbuilt EFI system and here's where I am with it at present...
