Car stutters and almost stalls when it's really hot outside
It's a 1994 Nissan Altima and when it gets really hot outside, the car stutters and almost stall out. This happens when I am going at low speeds or stopped like at a stop light. Once I get going the car is fine. This only happens when it is hot out, it has never happened any other time.
Thanks for any suggestions |

When you turn your A/C on do both radiator fans turn? Do you notice any differance at stops or low speed if you turn the A/C off?

Doesn't happen when the A/C is on, atleast it hasn't happened yet while the a/c is on.

Re: Car stutters and almost stalls when it's really hot outside
By far the most common thing that causes Altimas to quit running is the distributor. Parts inside the distributor heat up, usually the engine stumbles and then dies. Sometimes the engine will start right back up and sometimes it will have to cool for hours before it will restart, or won't restart. Often there will be motor oil inside the distributor cap. Brand new distributors on Ebay are better quality and cost less than rebuilt lifetime warranty distributors.
