Question performance intake manofold?

I was wondering if anyone could lend me a hand here.I am looking to buy a performance intake manifold but I dont know which will help out the most.I have looked at Indy and Venom but I keep reading about this extrude hone process.Maybe good ol port and polish is the way to go.Oh yeah the car is a 99 R/T with 2.5 cat back exhaust,Flowmaster muffler, gutted cat conv, custom air intake auto throttle boby(a few mm bigger than the mt cars),and a one of a kind louvered hood. Also a bunch of other crap that I am too tired to mention. Thanks

I have heard the Indy is pretty good, but a pain in the ass to install. Definitely not a direct swap. I would do the port and polish personally, since you can do it yourself and save some money. Buy a junkyard one and give it a shot. You could also spend the $400 or so dollars to get it honed. CLICK ME for a Post and Polish how to!

I happened to stumble on this site, they make performace neon parts, the site is kinda new so most of the links dont work. but just put ur mouse over products and click on the intake and then manifolds, they have 2 types of manifolds

That site isn't new and Ernie had been making custom manifolds for neons for quite some time now. He is the only one I know of still making custom manifolds.

Re: performance intake manofold?

Not to knock Ernie but it seems his design is pretty simple.Port and polish the top half of a factory intake and tig a custom plenum. If I wasnt stuck in Iraq I would try it tomorrow.

No, it isn't hard just real time consuming if you want to do it correctly.
