Lightbulb thinkin about getting a maxima!

hey guys, this is my first post here. usually im in the accord forums, but anyway, i just got an offer made on my car, and im thinkin about taking it if i can get a maxima. i found a sweet '96 SE with every option except leather, with 72,000 miles on it, for 9,000. thats about a grand more than im sellin my accord for.

i mean, i love the accord, but i think its time for something new. so what do you guys think? should i stick with the accord, or get the max? i already asked this in the accord forum im usually in, and about 25% said to go with the max.

my accord is decently modded, with rims, exhaust, tint, etc, but i know the max handles better and is quicker than my accord. so any imput you guys have will be great. thanks a lot.

Hondas, Hondas

Hey,

I know how it is switching from Honda to Nissan. I had a Prelude SH 98 and I decided to sell it and get a Maxima GLE 96 and put some mods on it. See, the difference that you'll see in a Maxima is the interior. It's much better then the accord (I had one before 97 EX) and the car has more power, better ride quality etc. One think I'm missing is the handling from my prelude but now I can cruse in comfort. The choice is up to you, but I would definitly try the maxima first, that's all it takes to convince ANYONE to choose between accord and maxima. Good luck.

Maxima all the way! What ever I can do to convince someone to buy a Maxima I will do it.Comparing a Maxima to a Accord is no match the Maxima has more power,room,handling,etc...Best thing to do is get in a Maxima and drive it you will see.And if you want power go for the 5 speed you could be running 14's easy.Go to www.maxima.org and check the site out I hope it will convince you more...Good luck..>and hey join the club once you get into a Max.

Talking

The best thing about my Max is it's "Stealth" technology.

Cops don't even look at me once, much less twice.

And ironically, I took an Accord this morning on I-5 on the way to work.....off the line at the entrance to the freeway....beat him to the freeway by about 7 car-lengths.....heh.

Seriously, my '97 Max is by FAR the best car I've ever owned.
Very sturdy, quick, handles well (even better once I get my lowering kit), and never one mechanical problem....not even something small like trim has worn at all.

F***ing awesome car.

I'm buying a 2002 as soon as they come out, if they price it right.

260hp with 240lbs of torque......yuuuum.

We've owned both the Accord and Maxima. Our vote goes with the Maxima. It has logged 90,000 kilometers (60,000) miles of hard driving without a hint of a single problem. Our five speed manual has to rate as the smoothest vehicle we have ever owned (and that includes our 2001 Mercedes C-320).

Sounds great to me. At that rate we'll still be using the Maxima for quite a few more years. With the lively ride that comes standard, it should prove to be an exciting decade.

Besides, do you wanna be just another schmuck in an Accord? Way too many of those out there. Get a 5 spd. Maxima - 15.2 1/4 bone stock (and that's just for the 4th generations with only 190 hp...imagine the 260)!! Can an Accord do that? I don't think so.

Get the Max.....

Honestly, you will love the Max because of the room, power, and even the style. But the biggest thing you will love is the fact that these cars are more rock solid than an Accord. Mine has been through the winter from hell and it still shows no ill effects from it.
