The Problem buying 12 inch tires for Geos !
I bought a '93 Metro this spring.
Tires in Spokane at "Discount Tire" are advertised on BILLBOARDS as 13 inch - $15 14 inch - $20 15 inch - $25 I asked about 12 inch tires and it was, "Oh! 12 inch tires are uncommon, so they go for $25.... We only sold 6 sets last year. No sale price on them! " So a set of 13 inch tires for my son's Ford Aspire cost about $100. For my Geo Metro, it is $164. I'm so pissed! And that is THE LOWEST QUOTE at another place. The highest quote was $244 ! Does this same garbage happen anywhere else besides Spokane, WA.? Does anyone know which national tire store doesn't do this rubbish? DoctorBill |

They all do nowadays. They haven't made a car with 12" wheels since about 1994. Those sizes are getting phased out with all the old geo's, honda's, and toyota's ending up in junkyards. The price on 12" tires is gonna do nothing but go up.

The Walmart here has 12's for 23 each. Only a dollar less than the 155/80/13's but they have some. Might check your Walmart.
