AC help!!!
First of all im not here to be told to remove my ac for weight loss and power gain, i live in ga it is very hot and humid and i need it. With that out of the way, my ac does not work and i have figured out that the compressor is not coming on. Im not sure if it is the clutch or something inside the comp. or an wire, relay, fuse. I am going to check all the wiring before i start taking it apart and replacing stuff. The problem is I dont have a wiring diagram for it. If anyone could help me with this with any info or diagrams it would be much appreciated.

I don't have ready access to the wire diagram to post but there are some things you could check. But I think you probably don't have sufficient refrigerent. Here's how to do some basic checks on the compressor. First, check if the compressor is frozen, with engine off just grab the center section of the compressor pully and try to turn it by hand. If it turn easily then check the clutch. Connect a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery and touch the other side to one compressor clutch power wire. The clutch should click. For the relay just follow the power wire it's one near the passenger headlight. There are two relays and I think it's the one on the right.
Once you pull the relay hold it with the clip side up. The terminals are top left = 1, top right = 2, bottom left = 3, and bottom right = 4. There should be continuity between 2 and 4. If you put 12v between 2 and 4 there should be continuity between 1 and 3. If you plan on retrofitting to R-134a you should replace all the O-rings, install new charge fittings, a new dryer, bring it to an A/C shop to have them check your work, and get a new charge while you're there. God willing you should be all set. GL

It's probably either low on refrigerant or the pressure switch is defective. The pressure switch prevents power from going to the compressor if the refrigerant pressure is too low. This prevents damage to the compressor.

my ac compressor didn't come on until r12 freon got added in... i turned the ac on at full blast. added r12 and the compressor started spinning.

Your low pressure (freon) switch was protecting your compressor. I would have your system checked for leaks because once they get low, they get low again and again until you repair the leak. Most likely due to a bad o-ring in your lines. r12 ain't cheap either. Might consider converting to r134 (Honda did mine the proper way for 199.00)
