please evaluate my system

ok heres what i have stock honda speakers with the tweeters in the door (i think its like acoustic reality or something im too lazy to look), 2 500w kenwood 10s in a bandpass box powered by a 350w piramid amp and i have a kenwood head unit putting out 45x4. ok thats lame ill admit it. now what i might possibly do tommarow is. a rockford fosgate 500w amp powering the 2 10s. then im gonna get rockford fosgate components (the nicest ones they make) for the doors and cerwin vega 3 way 6x9s on the rear deck and use my piramid to power those. would this system be pretty decent. i got a real good connection so im getting all those things for cheap cheap cheap. thanks in advance.

personally...i wouldn't wanna use those pyramid amps. ask anyone in this forum. they dont' sent clean signal to your speakers, and that decreases the lifespan on them 6x9. the most expensive RF components are like $~450+. i think it's called the fanatic Q which is basically the same as the MB quart. try looking for crystal mobilesound. you won't believe the sound quality for such a low price.

since you're getting components, i think you should get rid of the rear speakers, unless there are passengers in the back. if you take them out, bass will travel better and sound better. plus the subs won't put pressure on the rear set. it's called front stage imaging, where all the voice and sound are coming towards you, not the back of you. the bass is ok where it is.

ya i agree with you that piramid amps are crap. but my bro gave it to me and you cant beat free. i do want to eventually hook up a nicer amp but well money dictates everything you do.

are those kenwoods with the blue cones? if they are, they will only be taking 130watts RMS each, but more if you turn the amp's gain off. are they dual voice coil or single voice coil?.

RF comps are wayyy overpriced..
they don't sound that good.
crystal is a better option.

or you could always go for some phoenix gold at a low price for good quality.

and a component set for 99 bucks at sounddomain.

I got the fanaticp comps in my civic, those are the cheap comps and they sound ok. Lots of highs, almost no bass, but I don't care cuz they are high passed at 120hz. I didn't have to pay much for em cuz I get employee discount but if youa re buying retail there is probably better for the money.

arent well scratch the cerwin vegas i got pioneer 6x9 TS A6985 4 way 260w speakers today. i got a sick deal on them. im working on the installation part right now i wish i wasn't mechanically challenged. any tips?

Well to rate your system, it sucks.

I'd stay away from 6x9s, you can find better sound out of round speakers. JL Audio makes great component sets, their XR series is only around $300 and they'll take anything you give them and sound crystal clear. I'd recommend them to anyone.

alright well i got everything and i got the pioneer 6x9s and i got kenwood 6.5 in the kick panels. im loving it crystal clear. time to save for a cf hood.
