98 Blazer Ignition Fail
HI Friends at car forum.
My 1998 Blazer AT is driving us crazy. from time to time appears an ignition failure that does not allow to start the car.that failure seems to be an electric problem because all the lights in the cluster blinks when you change from D position P or R to park the car. after that event the car does not start the engine. I have changed battery, ignition relay and made check computer but problem is not solved. in mornings when failure is going to appear only the engine light is on, sometimes odometer light off to aback in while, compass and radio lights also disappear and then returns ...????? any help is welcome. PD: sorry for my poor english. |

Re: 98 Blazer Ignition Fail
Sounds like you neeed to change your ignition switch. This causes all kinds of trouble. Check the threads in this form for Bad Ignition Switch and you'll see what I mean......

See my thread about 2001 S-10 Blazer Instrument Cluster. In that thread find the Service bulletin number and do a google search on that number. It will give you a lot of the symptoms as well as the years/models of vehicles affected. |
