Hey, what's going on?? Check this out...
I have a 1988 Honda Civic 4WD Wagon and it's overheating on me. I was running it pretty hard one day and antifreeze starting shooting out from the radiator. It was cracked, lame!! So I put a new one in, and ever since then, it overheats on me!! I installed it correctly, hooked up the fan/hoses/etc. When it's running, the top hose is warm and the bottom/return hose it cold. I also replaced the thermostat just in case, but that didn't help any. When I start it, the temp gauge takes a while to come up, but once it has been running for 10-15 min, it pegs on the red!!! I have done everything I can think of and also talked to a couple mechanics and they were all stumped (and/or wanted to take a "closer look" for some $). I am trying to fix it myself and any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks a lot, brady_m_i |

Yeah bleed it of air if you havnt done that and check the water pump like jos suggested. But it sounds more to be like a warped head.
