92 Si Hatchback Gauge Cluster????

Hi, I own a 92 CX Hatchback and was planning on purchasing an OEM gauge cluster from a 92 Si Hatchback. I know that it's a simple plug & play installation, but I also wanted to know whether or not I can roll back the mileage back to zero or how to do it if possible. My friend told me that it's illegal to do so. Any help would be great. Thanks.

it is very illegal... why dont you just match it to your actual mileage?

Sorry..I meant to say I wanted to match my current mileage. My cousin thinks that any alteration of the odometer, even if I wanted to match my current mileage, is illegal. Is he just confused or what?

ok ,for you to do that, i believe you need to notify your insurance co. and inform them of what youre doing, it shouldnt be illegal as long as the mileage hasnt changed and there is documentation of it.
