radiator fan removal?

can anyone tell me how to remove the fan from the waterpump pulley? in case i have to change the waterpump. i took apart the fan itself from the fan clutch. its attached by a nut shape to the pump. i tried turning it with a wrench but engine turns over.

I ussually wedge a long screw driver/tire iron between 2 of the bolts holding the water pump pulley on, then using a 1 7/16" wrench loosen the fan clutch assembly from the water pump.

NOTE: You might want to loosen these bolts to get more grip when using a screw driver or tire iron.
