Trannys and high RPM shifting

I currently have a JDM Y1 trans. w/B16 motor... picked up an Acura LS tranny to swap in. Now I am hearing that the Acura tranny will not shift as well at high RPM. Does anybody know if this is true? Why would the Acura tranny not shift as well at high Rpm?

Thanks!

Gas mileage. My crx used to get 37 mpg before the B16, and I would like to recover some of that mpg if I can.

It shifts fine; it's a transmission, that's what it's supposed to do. You'll just lose acceleration.

Re: Trannys and high RPM shifting

The B16 tranny is geared better for performance, the LS is more for economy on a more torquier engine... And that engine needs to rev high, and fast to get any HP out of it since there is no torque... So yes, you will KILL your performance... But you will save your MPG...

Honestly not worth it to me, Id rather just be easy with my lead foot... But hey, whatever floats your boat...
