1996 sunfire loses power and dies
1996 sunfire after one hour of driving loses power and dies. Push gas pedal to floor and goes 30 mph tops when condition starts. Engine turns over, but car won't start. 3 hours later, the car starts. Fuel pump has been pressure tested and fine. Whats the problem? CDN TIRE mechanic cannot find anything wrong with the car.

My buddy changed the inline fuel filter. Hasn't been changed in 5 yrs. problem solved. How come Cdn tire mechanic coouldn't figure it out?
