99 cooling fan problem

Hi, I got a 99 intrepid that the ac went out on, took the car to a local mechanic and he diagnosed the right radiator fan was burned up along with a relay and fuse. I bought a new aftermarket fan assembly, and the fan still won't work. Is there something else to check, or did I just get a bad fan? appreciate any feedback

My right fan is also not working. Same car 1999 Intrepid with 2.7 stock.

Any help with diagnosing this problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

cooling fan

I have an 01 R/T, passenger side fan is out. I have been told that this fan should run when AC is on. I was told to check the relays in the fuse box under the hood, also direct wire and check to see if the fan even runs. There are two black relays and one 40 amp fuse in that fuse box. this seems to be an issue with these fans. I have heard of a lot of them going out. I am going to be checking mine on Monday and will post my results as soon as I find out more.

Angry Overheating

I'm also having a problem with my 95 Intrepid. If I'm in traffic for very long it overheats. I also don't think my fans are working. Also, when I first get in my car and give it gas it hesitates. But it seems to clear up once I'm driving for a few minutes.

This overheating thing is really getting to me.

Re: 99 cooling fan problem

Same problem here with a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. Fans won't come on. As long as I'm driving far and fast and there's air blowin' through my engine, i'm fine. went on a road trip with no problem. But five minutes in Austin traffic sends my temp guage through the roof! replaced both fuses....maybe relay next? I already purchased the temperature sensor, but can't find a diagram of where it is in my car!!! Ack!
