Try the appropriate board of www.roadfly.org and ask there. I've seen replies where an owner's manual is sent via email.

Owner's Manual
Welcome to the world of 7. I have had 3 different e32's (still have a 94 740il) and I just bought a 98 740il e38. You can go to http://www.e38.org/ . There is tons of stuff on the site. At the bottom of the page on the left there are several owners manuals. No 98 but there is a 97 which is very similar. Roadfly is also excellent. I also bought a manual for the car and my radio from the dealer, I think it was around $30 for both. BMW's are great cars. The 7's are 4 door family sports cars and I love them. You have to be willing to maintain them but if you do they will last for years and years, and miles and miles. My 94 has 202,000 miles and is still a great car.
