Trim Code Question
I am trying to find some second row captains chairs to replace the second row bench in my 98 GV Sport 3.8L. My trim code is B5C3............I cannot find the same code, but I did find one that is E5C3. The E5C3 is also supposedly grey, but it is about 1 hour drive away.......I was wondering if anyone had that trim code and was able to post a pic up so that I can see if it is remotely similar to the seats in my van - an exact match isn't that critical. Thanks in advance!

Bottom Line, If the seats are a good price, you should go for it. If you were talking about putting a Burgandy seat in your gray interior, that would be highly questionable. Fortunatly, Chrysler Stopped making seats in that awful color. I bought Captains chairs for my 01 voyager, and they don't match. I don't think anyone notices. I love them, they keep the 2 kids apart, and you can get to the 3rd row from wither side. Also, they only weigh about 55lbs, so it only takes 1 person to remove them. |

Thanks for the reply, gromittoo. Our previous GC had four quad seats and we loved them (kept kids apart, easier to get in the back, take one out for more storage/access, etc.). I was thinking the same thing as you - who care....no one will notice.
I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't thinking this way just because I really want the quads...haha By the way, the seats are $100 each.....does that seem reasonable? To me, it seems ok.......especailly since I can pick them up (i.e. no shipping). |

Re: Trim Code Question
That is probably a good price, depending on condition. If they are "new take outs" for a handicapped conversion, that is an excellant price.
My van is a 2001, and I noticed that the 96 to 2000 seats are somewhat bit cheaper, while shopping on eBay. I felt very lucky to get my 01 seats for ~$230 + $125 shipping, and mine were definitly used. You should take a look on ebay, and make sure you look at auctions for seats that have actually sold. There are a lot of people who put up seats on ebay at sky high prices, over and over, until they sell. THis will give you more confidence. |
