Radiator Fan Reversible?

Does anybody know if the radiator fan and a/c fan motors are reversible - like if you revers the power on them if they will spin the other way?

That would be a bad idea anyways. You don't want them to be turning opposite the natural airflow... it'll have to fight the airflow to turn.

Re: Radiator Fan Reversible?

Well, I'm going to try and mount them on the front of the radiator fan to make more room for my turbo setup. So I was seeing if they are reversible.

Re: Radiator Fan Reversible?

So, in that situation, do you think they are reversible?

It would seem logical. The direction of the fan will still spin the same, it'll just be mounted to the frontside of the radiator, right? I've heard of this being done before. You just have to put the fan motor bracket/housing on the front side somehow.

Re: Radiator Fan Reversible?

yeah they spin find backwards... testing out fans I've hooked them up to a power source both ways with good results, however I can't say anything about the longjevity of it.
