Second wave of bombings in London

News just coming in, but another set of bombs were set off in London today, two weeks after the first attack.

Re: Second wave of bombings in London

Heard about that a minute ago. Awfully surprising they would hit the same place twice. Awfully surprising they could hit the same place twice.

Thankfully they were just detonators such as blasting caps, and not an actual explosive. I have a feeling England is going to be 100% more active than it already is in the fight against terrorism.

Why can't all the suicide bombers get together for a convention and all go up at once.

Absolutely terrible. Just more proof that terrorists can only be dealt with force, that's all they understand.

Google it. They have plenty of reason to hate America and its allies. Most recently, invasion of their country.

I like how Massachusetts upgraded their warning level from Orange... to "Orange Plus." I shit you not: Orange PLUS. What the hell is Orange Plus? When asked about it, one of news station's political consultant said (and I quote: "Orange Plus is really like More Orange" That's right... "More Orange"

I think they should update this stupid little color coded warning system to include every happy color of the rainbow, crayola colors included.

Beware America! The new warning status is officialy Lavender...

Re: Second wave of bombings in London

if we raised the "threat level" to red, it would be admiting to the world that the war on terror was actually making us less safe...not more safe.

Your rainbow theory would suit the liberals quite nicely!

To tell you the truth, I think the whole "threat level" system itself is really a dumb concept, as it serves only two real purposes (depending on the person paying attention to it): 1. It's useless to people like myself, as I really couldn't give a crap what the hell the latest color level is, since I'm not about to adjust any part of my life as a result. 2. It scares the shit out of people who actually buy into the whole thing, and the news stations willingly play on that, often following up the threat level report with some rubbish like "dirty bomb" schematics or drummed up floor plans for multi-level terrorist cave-facilities that turn out to be nothing more than dusty pockets in the rocks.

But to be fair, I suppose the government really doesn't have much of a choice. If they DIDN'T make an issue of the damn level changes, enough people would inevitably bitch that they (the govt.) weren't giving us all the information and doing what they should to protect us. So given the option, the govt. just stays on the "safe" side and issues the warnings.

Re: Second wave of bombings in London

It's very saddening indeed. Just goes to show how badly the war on terror is going.

Come on, Raz. You're acting like the terrorists are the good guys.

No, but when hundreds of my countrymen and thousands more of my religous brothers are slain in some falsified wars, I do hope some good comes out of those wars other then false pretences that democracy is being set and a better way of life is being creaed for them.
But if you sriously think about it, after all these safety step ups, increased funding for more killings of terror suspects, a new division of the government...these people are still able to cause damage at will.
