Smile G35 Twin Turbo w/nitrous?

Well I have a G35 Coupe with the Greddy Twin Turbo kit installed and my friend said I cannot use nitrous along with my turbo. Is this true or not.
thanks

Re: G35 Twin Turbo w/nitrous?

Why would you want to? 400 RWHP not enough?

Besides that adding nitrous you are running the risk of blowing the engine.

This is the biggest crock of shit i've ever heard...Thats like say if you put gas in your car you run the risk of blowing your engine......or if you drive you car you run the risk of wrecking it.....

If you follow the guidelines for Nitrous installation and you haven't exceeded the limits of strengh of your engine, nitrous is as safe as handling gasoline. Plus it's one of the cheapest power adders you can buy.

Well I meant that if you add the nitrous on top of the Twin Turbo you are probably going to exceed the limits of the engine, you are already running the risk with the turbo install and its tuning and to add another equation is not smart I was not talking about the nitrous alone so read slower next time.

The way you said it this time is great. I went back and read what you wrote V E R Y S L O W L Y and it sounds like nitrous is dangerious for the engine.
Wespak because of the level of readers you have to be careful what you write and say.

Re: G35 Twin Turbo w/nitrous?

Well I guess if the topic wasn't "Twin Turbo w/nitrous" then I can see how my mesage may not have been clear enough, no problem sometimes I just write quick answers.

But on topic I do not recommend putting on a TT kit and adding nitrous on top of that, it woul dbe easier to up the boost and tune for that which if you get the Greddy it is doable if proper modifications are done and just have that higher boost setting as "overtake" to use when needed like you would the nitrous. This assumes using the e01 controller.

Nitrous is pretty hard to handle...Either you get someone with the know hows or just stick with your TT. I heard that Greddy kit can go over 500whp. Not sure how true that is but if it is true..who needs nitrous..

Guys with built forged motors are going over 600 RWHP with the Greddy TT kit and shooting for 700 RWHP, so I agree and that is why I said there is no need for NOS here just a rebuilt motor if you want more HP than 400 RWHP at those power levels the turbos in that kit are barely breaking a sweat only 8-9 psi and they can go 20+

Yeah the only time is with low compression smaller engines like the 300ZX TT which altough it can make big HP it lacks in the low end so some guys install NOS to shutoff around 3000 rpm when the turbos kick in that way the have low end response, with the 350Z having 10.3 CR the low end response combined with the TT is an incredible experience.

The only way I see anyone wanting nitrous on a engine with the power levels you guys are talking about, is if they wanted to use it in the lower or lag part of the turbo's. Other than the why use it? Want more power, up the boost.

Nitrous in not usless noor hard to handle, but like anything has it's place.
It just takes someone with more than 3 brain cells and the ability to read and follow instructions to use it.

How many of you giving advice have ever personally (i mean used it yourself) had and run nitrous on there car?

WestPak, now you giving advice like a pro.

There are some people that doesn't know how to handle Nitrous very well. I have never used Nitrous before, and I probably never will because of all the stories that I have heard from past users. Even if I do decide to use it, I would probably ask a professional installer to do it for me. Yea I don't know very much about Nitrous. that is true =) but I want to learn =)
