Frt Passenger Window screaches going down

Has anyone else had this problem, when I put my front passenger window down (power windows) it makes a horrible finger on chalkboard sound. I hate it, what can I do to make it stop!

Another silly problem I have every once in a while, which I think is faulty wiring is that my power mirrors don't go up and down sometimes, one minute they will work, the next they wont. everytime I take it into the dealer it works for them so they think I am !!

I sometimes have the same problem. The solution is so simple it is funny. I noticed my windowstarted squealing about aweek after I got the car. The car was overall quite dirty, so I decided to wash it. No more squealing. I guess the hard rubber molding on the outside of the window hates dust...

I am having the same problem with my windows screeching as they go down - both the driver and the passenger windows on my 03 ZX3.
This has occured since day one, and I thought that 2 years later that the screeching would have stopped, but no such luck.
Washing it is not a problem. In fact it was washed today, but the sqealing and screeching of the window is as loud as ever.

As you roll the window down, look at the gasket on the outside bottom of the window sill. It is probably rolling down with the window and making it squeak. The fix ford told me was to put some white lithium grease (a small amount) on the seal while the window is in the full down position to keep the rubber from catching and pulling down.

Ford also sells a "window vent lube" which you just put on the window slide (black felt) and move it up and down very common problem when they dry up
