Midnight Maximum Tune 2? (Initial D style arade game)

Has anybody heard of an arcade game called Midnight Maximum Tune 2? The creator of the game is Namco, and the game is similar to Initial D.

Midnight Maximum Tune is more like high speed racing than drifting. Most of the machines I've seen have the shifter on the left, like a RHD car, but I have played once with the shifer on the right (like a LHD car in canada/america). One thing I prefer this over Initial D Version 3 is that the game starts off with easier levels, you have an H type shifter instead of the up/down shifter in ID and you can choose the parts you want to tune up when you get enough tuning points.

Data, like Initial D, is saved onto a tuning card. Your name, your car, the races, and the tune up's you've done are saved onto a rewritable tuning card with a life of 60 games.

So, this is my tuning card, anybody else play Midnight Maximum Tune?





Currently on my card it says 680hp/D, but I can alter between 660hp/B, 640hp/B, 620hp/G and 600hp/G.

The letter after the horsepower signifies the type of handling.
DG = Dangerous
D = Drift
B = Balance
G = Grip
HG = High Grip


Its a cool game, and if there is an arcade shop nearby, I would seriously recommend you to look for one.

P.s. You usually start off with 280hp/B, but there are slight variations depending on the car.

Haven't been to an arcade in a long time. I guess because i like playing with real cars.

Isn't there a game like that for ps2. Wangan midnight or something like that.

Wat type of arcade do u have to go to see these things: crappy ones or better ones like in the board walk.
