1995 Pontiac Sunfire problems

Hi, i have 2 problems with my 5 speed 2.2

1 - my reverse parking light does not work when i put my car on reverse.

2 - my car is running fine but when the radiator fan is working my ''check engine'' light went on.

is someone here have some clues. thank you.

As far as the lights, check the rear bulbs first... and if they are working fine, then there is a switch of some sort on the shifter I beleive that when you put it in reverse, it makes contact and lets the lights turn on. I would check that.
